Aperitivo Lungo in Algund

A warm summer evening, a chilled aperitif in hand, music playing in the background and familiar as well as new faces all around: Aperitivo Lungo is one of those special summer events in Algund that you should not miss during your holiday.

From 6.30 pm, the church square gradually begins to fill. The first drinks are poured, while relaxed DJ music provides the perfect soundtrack for the early evening.

There is plenty to discover at the various stands. South Tyrolean wineries and producers present their wines, gins, liqueurs and artisan spirits. Some of the producers are there in person to introduce their products. Local clubs and associations take care of the culinary side of the evening, serving drinks, small bites and freshly prepared specialities.

If you fancy something sweet, make sure to stop by the nostalgic ice cream cart from Leiter am Waal. Creamy or fruity, served in a cup or a classic cone – on a warm August evening, ice cream is always a good idea.

From aperitif to summer night

The evening begins at a relaxed pace, but later the atmosphere becomes much livelier. At around 9.00 pm, live bands take to the stage and fill the church square with popular rock and pop classics.

People dance in front of the stage, raise another glass at the tables, and a planned “We’ll just stop by for a moment” quickly turns into a full evening out.

It is precisely this mix that we enjoy so much. Visitors, locals, hosts, friends and families all meet in the same square and spend the evening together. If you would like to experience Algund not only as a holiday destination but also get a glimpse of authentic village life, this is the place to be.
